NAME: Gili means “island” in Indonesian. The idea for this company was first conceived on the western coast of an island named Gili Air (-8.353558,116.077777). After a couple years of outsourcing repurposed materials and product testing, Gili was founded on July 4th, 2014 in Vail, Colorado, our island in the sky.


LOGO: The lotus flower is an exquisite aquatic plant. Depending where in the world you are, it is most commonly associated with rebirth, beauty, purity, and spiritual enlightenment. The middle petal is a water drop and the three on each side are waves. Special thanks to Kind Design.


MISSION: Raising awareness towards a more sustainable future by empowering individuals to make conscious purchasing decisions for goods made from repurposed and recycled materials, as well as reusable products that eliminate the need for single-use items.


MOTTO: "Linger Longer". Our slogan fully encapsulates sustainability and adventure travel, the main concepts that inspired Gili. The materials we use Linger Longer by being repurposed into new products, as well as us wanting to Linger Longer at the amazing destinations we visit
